The terms that apply when you use Duxville Academy services, courses and learning tools.

1. Scope of these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply when you browse the Duxville Academy website, request information, create an account, use French Quest, register for an assessment, enrol in a program or otherwise use Academy services. Program-specific terms, invoices and written enrolment documents may add details for a particular service.
2. Nature of Academy services
Duxville Academy provides private, short-term language learning, examination preparation, tutoring and related educational services. It is not a designated learning institution, immigration consultant, law firm, employment agency or government institution. Unless a written document expressly states otherwise, Academy services do not provide an accredited diploma, study permit or immigration service.
3. No guaranteed outcomes
Learning outcomes depend on many factors, including a learner's starting level, attendance, practice, participation and third-party decisions. Duxville Academy does not guarantee exam results, exam availability, admission, employment, work permits, permanent residence, visas, citizenship, licensing, a specific instructor, a particular class time, a room, a platform or an ongoing batch seat.
4. Assessments, registration and fees
A free assessment, trial invitation or enquiry is not a confirmed class booking or enrolment. Fees, program length, available schedules, learning format and any payment arrangements will be confirmed separately in writing. You are responsible for providing accurate information and meeting the payment terms that apply to your confirmed enrolment.
4A. TCF AI Speaking Lab and digital memberships
The TCF AI Speaking Lab is a practice tool. It is not an official TCF Canada examination, scoring service or certification. AI-generated projected marks, CEFR levels, NCLC estimates, corrections and recommendations are educational estimates only and may contain errors. Official examination results are determined only by the authorized examination body and its trained evaluators.
Speaking plans use usage credits. Unless a plan description states otherwise, one individual speaking task uses one credit; monthly credits reset each billing month and do not roll over. Credits are personal to the account, have no cash value and may not be transferred or shared. Duxville Academy may adjust technical limits, models or features where reasonably necessary to control cost, maintain security or improve service, without reducing a paid student's purchased entitlement for the active billing period.
5. Student accounts and acceptable use
You must keep your account credentials confidential and may not share account access, course access or purchased membership benefits with another person. You must use the website, French Quest and Academy communications lawfully and respectfully. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect students, staff, systems, intellectual property or the integrity of a learning environment.
6. Attendance, delivery and scheduling
Students are responsible for attending agreed sessions and maintaining any necessary device, internet and software access for online learning. The Academy may make reasonable changes to an instructor, group, platform, classroom, schedule or material where needed for operations, safety, availability or educational quality. We will communicate material changes when reasonably practicable.
7. Learning materials and intellectual property
Academy materials, French Quest content, assessments, recordings and branding are for the learner's personal educational use unless we give written permission otherwise. They may not be copied, recorded, reproduced, uploaded, shared, resold or used to create a competing service. Recordings, where used, are for internal educational or administrative purposes unless separate consent is obtained.
8. Communications and third-party services
We may communicate through the contact method you provide for enquiry, enrolment or course administration. Third-party platforms, payment providers and communication services have their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for reviewing the terms that apply to any third-party service you choose to use.
9. Liability and governing law
To the extent permitted by law, Duxville Academy is not responsible for indirect loss, travel costs, missed opportunities, connectivity problems outside its reasonable control, or third-party decisions. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer, privacy or other statutory right that cannot legally be waived. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada.
